Buoyancy is compromised, altitude is dropping fast.
Power is down, backup cells are limited.
And something beyond our understanding prowls these halls.
Every spark of electricity attracts that monster, it almost seems to 'hear' it. Booting machines, flipping breakers, and running your power tools calls it to feed on the precious energy you need to keep the lights on, repair systems, run your exoskeleton, and escape with your life and sanity.
Stealth is now beyond just sight and sound.
This thing wants something from you.
What it did to the crew...It seems to want you alive, for what diabolical assimilation you cannot know. Each time you find yourself defeated, not only do you lose precious time, something feels different inside you, like something is missing.
Manage your stress levels or you may find yourself shaking, panicking, hallucinating, or even passing out. Use psychopharmaceuticals, cups of genetically modified coffee, or even smashing some stress away; anything to keep you sane, alert, and away from that thing.
How did this happen? What have they been doing way out here? What happened to the crew?
Everyone has their secrets, and almost every crewman aboard has their Slab; a data drive and personnel management implant that connects directly to the midbrain. The crew cant seem to live without them..... or die with them installed.
Extracting them will tragically terminate your fellow cremates, but it seems they are already lost. You need their data, and their secrets, to survive.
As an immersive sim, The Venus Report is about surviving your way.
Computer hacking, anomaly tracking, vent crawling, exo-suit brawling, laser cutting, robot strutting, office rants, brain implants, power cells, medic gels, history, mystery, despair, repair, sneaking, peeking, rivet gats, and exploding rats.
Among other things unlisted.
